We met in PEI in 2016 while attending UPEI and we have lived in several provinces along the way. We are now settled in Ottawa in our permanent home with our old english bulldog Meatball. Our lives will be complete once we have a child. We know it is our first priority to give our love and attention to this amazing child that will be biologically ours and would not of been created without the help of our surrogate.
Bray grew in a small town in BC surrounded by the ocean and spent a lot of time in the outdoors whether it was motorbiking or tree climbing. By growing up in small town it was apparent that she would much prefer living in a bigger city with many amenities.
Max was born in Ukraine and grew up in Toronto and now we are both settled in to living in Ottawa, ON. During Max’s childhood he liked to play videogames and tennis. We just celebrated our ten year relationship with our wedding this year with friends and family in the park under trees.
We were close to building our family last year but devastatingly we had lost healthy twins due to an infection, and now due to a medical condition I am no longer able to carry a child. We currently have 7 frozen embryos. Our nursery and baby stroller are ready for an amazing child. Bray and Max had previously purchased both boy and girl clothes that are awaiting for a child.
Our neighbourhood is nestled in within the school networks and playgrounds. Our 3 bedroom home was purchased 3.5 years ago to help build a foundation for our family to live in. We plan to raise the child in Ottawa. Our home is filled with love and designed to have children, we have a star wars themed nursery already waiting for our bundle of love.
Bray enjoys paddleboarding, going to Orange Theory classes, singing, walking in nature, trying new restaurants and playing ball, cooking new recipes whether it is meat, vegan, vegetarian or the new high fiber fad. Bray also likes snuggling with our dog Meatball.
Max’s hobbies are hockey, tennis, video games and travelling. Max also enjoys going skiing with his parents.
Our family hobbies include sitting in the living room watching reality tv and gameshows with the fireplace going or attending a NHL game shouting for our favourite teams.
Brayln and Maxim would love to support the surrogate both financially and emotionally. During pre-pregnancy it would be great to meet in person and discuss the support the surrogate would like to have and we would like to be able to attend in person for appointments (if local), Otherwise-by telephone or face time if the surrogate lives far away. During the entire pregnancy it would be great to have an open line of communication and Bray is open to frequent conversations- if the surrogate wishes. Also humor is a great stress reliever so hoping to share some laughs and experiences to create a calming environment for both surrogate and growing child.
After the pregnancy it would be great to still keep in touch as Bray and Max would see the surrogate as a family member. If the surrogate wishes they would be able to have ongoing communication with us whether it is picture updates or dinner outings. We understand the surrogate is providing a very selfless act.
