We are Martin and Seamus, a married couple living in the Irish countryside with our very outspoken two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Evie. Ours is a busy, happy home – the kind filled with storybooks on the couch, craft supplies on the table, and the occasional chaos that comes with a toddler and two much-loved dogs (including the odd masterpiece on the wall or playdough stuck to the furniture!)
I work as a broadcast journalist, and Seamus works in health insurance. Between us, life is full and fast-paced, but family is always at the centre of everything we do.
We first met at Pride 13 years ago – a moment that changed both of our lives. After years together building our relationship and our home, we married in 2019, surrounded by the people who have supported us every step of the way. We are also lucky to live in a close-knit rural community with wonderfully supportive neighbours who absolutely adore Evie.
Becoming dads to Evie has been the greatest privilege of our lives. She is a bright, curious little girl who loves reading stories, doing crafts at the kitchen table, and heading out on walks with the dogs. Watching her grow has filled our home with laughter and purpose.
We feel incredibly grateful for the support network around us – grandparent, aunties, uncles, cousins and close friends who are all deeply involved in Evie’s life. She is growing up surrounded by love, and that means everything to us.
As Evie gets older, we would love nothing more than for her to have a sibling to grow up alongside – someone to share everyday adventures, family traditions, and the lifelong bond that comes with having a brother or sister.
We know how special and generous the journey of surrogacy is, and we approach it with enormous respect and gratitude. Our hope is simply to continue growing our family in the same loving, stable and joy-filled home we have built together.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
Lots of love and hope,
