We are Ludovic and Alexandre, from France. We are both 33 years old. We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to share a glimpse into our lives with you and are eagerly looking forward to learning more about you as well! As you go through our profile, please remember that what you see is just a snippet of our story. We would be delighted to share more and answer any questions you may have.
Our relationship
Alexandre has a passion for music, both classical music and musicals – this is mainly why his PhD in law was about the financing of cultural productions, and one of his short-term plan would be to develop his activity as a lawyer in the field of the musical industry. He is a pianist on his spare time – he loves classical music and enjoys playing the piano as a soloist or with other musicians (violin or cello).
Ludovic loves gardening – spending time taking care of our many plants and flowers, discovering new plants, is a true passion of his. And so is teaching – he has always dreamed of being a teacher and learning all sorts of things to children, and has had this incredible chance of getting the exact job of his dreams. He also has a keen interest in sport – he ran a couple of semi-marathons, and running the marathon is a goal of his. Sport keeps him energized and focused.
On our spare time, we cherish spending time together, travelling, hiking with our lovely dog Django – which we adopted during the first 6 months of our relationship and who is now 9 -, going out to have dinner parties or drinks with our friends, or going to see movies or to concerts – thus nurturing our passion for musicals and classical music.
We had a longstanding connection dating back to our high school days, but it wasn’t until 2015 that we started dating. Alexandre eventually proposed to Ludovic, and we got married 5 years ago in Portugal, in the region where Ludovic’s family originates from and which Alexandre fell in love with following our numerous trips there. We could not hope for a more beautiful day to celebrate our love, surrounded by our friends and families.
Our family
We are both the elders of large families – we each have one brother and one sister, to whom we are very close. Although we all have very different occupations and centers of interest, we always love our moments together – which occur rather often, at least once a week or so as we need to stay connected with our relatives. Ludovic is the godfather of one of his little cousins. We love spending time with him, and often go visit museums, take him to concerts or to the movies.
Our home
We are living in the lovely city of Nogent-sur-Marne just near Paris. This is adjacent to the Bois de Vincennes, which is the widest wooded park of Paris, and very close to our respective workplaces. In our view, this is the perfect place for us to raise a child, ten minutes away from the super busy Paris and its cultural dynamism and wealth, but in a very calm, serene and green environment with top schools a few minutes’ walk away. Our terrace with a view on the forest is the perfect place to get a bowl of fresh air and forget about the stress of the city.
In addition, we have the chance to have our parents less than 30 minutes away, near Disneyland Paris, and more generally our families in a 20 km perimeter.
Our journey
We have always shared the idea of building a family. It is something we have been maturing for many years now, we started discussing it early in our relationship. We first considered adoption, a journey that led us through two years of challenging and exhaustive processes, ultimately without success. Although it has been a painful experience, we do not regret taking this path. It helped us refine our project and led us to the realization that surrogacy, particularly in Canada, was the best option for us to grow our family. Surrogacy offers a unique chance to welcome a baby with part of our genes. And surrogacy as practiced in Canada, based on altruism, perfectly fits our vision of the family, as this is a core value we want to pass on to our child.
We thus started our journey one year ago and attended a conference in Brussels organized by Men Having Babies. This is where we had the chance to meet our clinic, Victory Reproductive Care (VRC), with which we had an instant connection. With their support and the precious and irreplaceable help of our amazing donor and her agency, we managed to create healthy and PGT-tested embryos.
Our relationship with you
Our utmost priority is to ensure your comfort and well-being. We commit to covering all necessary expenses, ensuring that this journey is as smooth and worry-free as possible for you. Beyond the financial support, we wish to build a genuine and supportive relationship, characterized by trust and communication. Our involvement in the pregnancy will be guided by your needs and desires, and if you fear that distance might be an issue, we’ll do our best to make it disappear.
After the pregnancy, we hope to continue the bond we have formed, and still depending on your desires, sharing messages, photos and more generally life’s precious moments. You will always hold a special place in our child’s life and in our hearts, and we are keen on maintaining this unique connection.
Thank you sincerely for considering our profile and for the potential role you could play in making our dream of parenthood a reality. We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity you are giving to couples like ours and look forward to the possibility of embarking on this journey together.
