We went to the same high school but never crossed paths—until fate brought us together 15 years later. Through mutual friends, we reconnected and it felt like our story was meant to be. What started as months of casual conversations turned into a deep love and the moment we finally met in person, we have been inseparable since. Since then, we have become best friends and we’ve built a life together filled with love, family and dreams for the future.
Amanda’s background is Italian and Greek and Domenic’s is Italian. We each have one sister and parents who are a big part of our lives. Our families live nearby—just 10–20 minutes away—and we see them every week. Domenic works in the family business alongside his dad, mom and sister. Family connection and support mean everything to us. We both come from close knit, loving families.
Together, we’re raising three children —Luca (11 years old), Selena (9 years old) and Antonio (1 years old). Luca and Selena are from Domenic’s previous marriage in which we have shared custody.
Antonio was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a lifelong condition that affects his lungs and digestive system. He faces daily medical treatments and unique challenges that require strength, structure and a deep well of love. Despite his illness, he’s an incredible happy little boy who lights up our world.
As much as Antonio has a brother and sister, they are only with us part-time and have a large age gap. What he truly needs is a sibling by his side full-time—someone to grow up with, play with and share all of life’s big and small moments with. Because of his illness, Antonio’s life can sometimes feel lonely or isolating, with many experiences that set him apart from other children. We hope to give him a best friend who will bring joy, comfort, and unconditional support throughout his journey. This is more than growing our family—this is about giving Antonio the lifelong gift of connection and unconditional love and support.
After 3 years of trying to conceive naturally, we turned to IVF. We ended up with 8 embryos but after learning about Antonio’s diagnosis and our complex genetics —both of us are carriers of the Cystic Fibrosis gene and face a high risk of chromosomal abnormalities—we had to undergo both PGT-A and PGT-M testing. After this extensive screening, only 1 embryo was deemed healthy and viable. Even though we have just 1 embryo, we feel incredibly blessed to have it and are holding onto hope that it will help us complete our family.
My pregnancy was incredibly difficult. I was diagnosed with placenta previa, vasa previa and placental insufficiency, which meant I was on strict bed rest for 80% of the pregnancy. At 5 months, Antonio’s ultrasound showed echogenic bowel and we underwent extensive genetic testing and an amniocentesis. We were then told he would be born with Cystic Fibrosis and also carried a high risk for Down syndrome. Multiple times over the course of the remainder of the months, we were asked to consider terminating the pregnancy. However after years of heartbreak and struggle to conceive, we couldn’t imagine walking away from the baby we had longed for. We chose love. We chose life. We chose to do everything in our power to give Antonio the best life possible.
During my pregnancy with Antonio, I was diagnosed with vasa previa, a life-threatening condition that put both my life and our baby’s at serious risk during delivery. We were told that if it had gone undetected or unmanaged, both Antonio and I may not have survived. The trauma and gravity of that experience cannot be overstated. Given the level of care Antonio needs and the extreme medical risks I faced, it is simply not safe — or possible — for me to carry another pregnancy. A second high-risk pregnancy would put us all in danger and take away the everyday medical needs that Antonio requires. That’s why surrogacy isn’t just our preference — it is truly our only safe and viable path forward to grow our family.
We live in a family-friendly neighborhood surrounded by lots of children and young families. There are two parks just down the street and the area is known for its strong sense of community and excellent schools. It’s a safe, welcoming neighbourhood where we’ve built a happy home and look forward to raising our children.
Domenic and Amanda are both construction project managers and share a deep passion for design and building beautiful spaces.
Domenic loves to play hockey and we both share a love for Formula 1.
Amanda has a passion for cooking and hosting—there’s nothing we love more than gathering family and friends around the table.
Beyond family life, Amanda is a dedicated advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis community. I volunteer with CF Canada, work to raise awareness and am actively involved in efforts to influence policy and improve long-term care standards for children like Antonio. It’s a cause incredibly close to my heart.
We also have a dog named Frankie who brings so much joy to our home.
Our surrogate’s well-being is just as important to us as the baby’s. From the very beginning, we are committed to being by her side in every way she needs — emotionally, physically and financially. We will cover all costs related to the pregnancy (pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and post partum) without hesitation. Whatever she needs to feel safe, comfortable, healthy and supported throughout this journey and recovery— we will ensure she has it.
We want her to feel respected, cared for and never alone. Whether that means attending appointments together, sending nourishing meals, offering time to rest, or simply being there to listen—we will show up with kindness and gratitude every step of the way. We understand how selfless this journey is and we will do everything we can to make sure she is supported. She will always have our full appreciation, trust, and unwavering support.
We truly believe that surrogacy is built on more than just a medical journey—it’s a bond of trust, love, and shared purpose. From the start, we hope to form a genuine connection with our surrogate rooted in open communication, mutual respect, and deep appreciation. We would love to stay in close contact throughout the pregnancy—whether that’s regular check-ins, celebrating milestones together, or simply being there for her in whatever way she needs.
This isn’t just about bringing a baby into the world—it’s about walking this road together. We’re open to whatever type of relationship feels right for her and we’ll always respect her comfort and preferences. After the birth, if she’s open to it, we would love to stay in touch—whether it’s through occasional updates, visits, or just knowing that she’ll always hold a special place in our hearts. She won’t just be part of our story—she’ll be a part of our family’s foundation. We will always be thankful for the incredible gift she’s giving us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and consider being part of something so deeply meaningful to our family. We can’t begin to express how much this means to us.
You have no idea the happiness and love you would be bringing into our lives. This journey isn’t just about growing our family—it’s about giving our son a sibling, a lifelong friend and filling a space in our hearts we’ve been dreaming of.
We’re so grateful for women like you, whose strength and kindness make this possible. No matter what, please know how much we admire and appreciate you.
