About

Hi there and thank you for being here! If you’re reading this, you’re already doing something extraordinary. We hope that these lines give you a glimpse not just into our lives, but also into our hearts.

Who We Are

We are Adam (37) and Viktor (39) from Budapest, Hungary. We live in a cozy home with our fluffy cats (Banditos), a gentle giant, Akira (a Maine Coon) and a graceful ballerina, Andromeda (a Nebbie) who firmly believe they run the house.

Our story began nearly two decades ago, in 2006, just before Adam’s high school graduation, when we started chatting at an online platform. Just a few days later, we met in person, and neither of us will ever forget that very first glance at that train station. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

About Adam

Adam grew up in a big family in Southern Hungary with his five siblings. As the oldest, he has actively taken part in caring for the little ones. He spent summers on his grandparents’ large farm, helping around with the crops and animals. Though he graduated as a teacher of literature and philosophy, he started working as a real estate agent during university and continued in that field. Today, he manages the marketing-related activities of our common business, and works from home full-time, which will be a big help once our baby arrives. Adam has always been passionate about Hungarian literature and acting – he even made a documentary about his grandparents that won a special award! Several of his poems have also been published. He loves reading and has an impressive book collection.

About Viktor

Viktor has Dutch-Hungarian background and was raised by his mother and grandparents in Eastern Hungary. He has one brother and two half-brothers. With 16 cousins in the Netherlands, he has always been surrounded by a large extended family. Viktor is an international relations expert and has a degree in economics as well and spent years working as a financial controller before starting their own business with Adam; a design furniture boutique that was opened in 2020 which is located just a 15-minute drive from their home. Viktor speaks six languages, he loves cooking international dishes (his tom yum soup is legendary!), and is also an amateur conchologist. And let’s not forget – he makes the best morning coffee in the world (at least according to Adam)!

Our Background and Values

We both come from close-knit families where traditions and shared values like love, respect, and hard work determined our childhoods. We were both very close to our grandparents, who played an important role in our lives and shaped who we are today. Perhaps that’s why we’re both such big dreamers who don’t know the impossible.

Our Path to Parenthood

Starting our own family has always been one of our greatest dreams. For the past 8 years, we’ve been consciously planning and preparing for this journey. We both quit our former jobs to build our furniture business (finding the right baby crib won’t be a challenge!) and create a stable financial background necessary for our surrogacy path.

In 2023, we took the first big step: thanks to our wonderful known egg donor, we now have 13 frozen embryos – 7 of them PGT-A tested. Our next milestone – besides finding our incredible surrogate – is to get married in Denmark later this year.

Why Canada?

We didn’t just choose a country – we chose a mindset we deeply believe in. In Canada, surrogacy is not a service – it’s a relationship. A path built on trust, mutual respect, and honesty. Besides the ethical side, our connection to Canada is also personal. Close friends of ours had their children through Canadian surrogates. Their journey left a lasting impression on us – it showed that this path can be walked with warmth, respect, and true connection.

Our Everyday Life

We love animals, nature and like to be active – hiking, climbing, and skiing whenever we can. We also have a yearly tradition of camping in the beautiful Soča Valley in Slovenia, where – beside relaxing – we kayak or do via ferrata. At home, you will find us reading, cooking, watching TV series, playing board games with our friends or enjoying quiet evenings on our lovely terrace that we have turned into an oasis during the past years – it’s filled with trees, plants and strings of lights. We even have a small pond with goldfish!

We’ve also traveled the world and explored incredible places together – from Costa Rica to Sri Lanka, Myanmar to Iceland – and it was atop an Icelandic volcano in 2013 where Viktor proposed to Adam. We moved together shortly after and have been living in our own home ever since.

Our neighborhood is full of parks, playgrounds and schools – the perfect environment to raise a child. We are also surrounded by family and close friends who are excited to support us. Last year, we have added a second bedroom to our apartment, which will eventually become the room of our future baby.

Why We Want to Become Parents

People often ask us why we want to become parents. And the truth is that it’s never a one sentence answer. We just feel so full of love, curiosity and care that we want to share it with someone who will also help us rediscover the world – through pinecones, stargazing, and sticky marshmallow fingers.

Our Thoughts on Surrogacy

We believe in kindness, honesty, trust and open communication. We admire the selflessness and courage it takes to carry a child for someone else. To us, surrogacy is one of the most generous acts a person can offer and we carry that respect with us every step of the way.

What we can promise you:

  • A loving, stable home for your incredible gift
  • Complete financial support throughout the journey and postpartum
  • A close and open relationship with regular updates and – if you’re comfortable with it – visits to Canada during the pregnancy
  • A friendship that extends beyond birth, with shared milestones and warm memories

Our child will also be a Canadian citizen, and we want them to feel connected to this wonderful country – and to you, if you feel comfortable with it.

We know that parenting won’t always be picture-perfect. There will be diaper disasters, midnight feedings and Lego-related foot injuries. We say: let’s get into it!

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity that surrogacy gives us. One day, we’ll tell our child the story of how they came into this world – and how a brave, amazing person made it all possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. This journey has already taught us patience, humility and deep gratitude – and we know that the most beautiful part is still ahead.  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering helping us begin this next, most meaningful chapter of our lives!
