We, Oana and Jesse, have been together for 7 wonderful years. Our love story began in the most ordinary yet magical way: over a coffee in a charming local café. From that very first conversation, we knew we had found something special in each other. What started as two people sharing stories over lattes has blossomed into a partnership build on deep love, unwavering support and a shared dream for the future.
We are a loving couple excited to grow our blended family through surrogacy. Jesse is a devoted father to three wonderful children from his first marriage. His natural warmth and support as a parent have been beautiful to witness. He has been a tremendous support in helping everyone adjust to a blended family. When we came together as a family, Oana embraced the role of “plus-mom” guiding and nurturing children.
One of Oana’s proudest accomplishments has been teaching the kids English, as they only spoke Dutch when we first met. She also provides the kids intensive math tutoring. Watching their confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. These experiences have given Oana a glimpse into the joys and challenges of parenthood. While being a plus-mom has brought her tremendous fulfilment, we’re ready to have a child together and raising it from day one.
Each of us grew up in stable loving families. Oana grew up in Romania and then emigrated to Canada with part of her family. Jesse grew up in the Netherlands. After her divorce Oana moved back to Europe and lives in Belgium. Jesse also moved to Belgium for work related reasons and that is where our paths crossed.
Oana’s favorite childhood memory is playing with her cousins at her grandparents’ house. We would all listen to our grandpa telling us stories while eating delicious cookies baked by grandma. This led to a lifelong of strong bonds and friendships, more like brothers and sisters than just cousins.
Our baby will have 3 siblings (Jesse’s kids from his first marriage) and 5 first cousins (the kids of Jesse’s siblings). Jesse hopes to give our child the same experience he had growing up in the Netherlands. The love for the outdoors, for sports, and for culture.
This journey has been an emotional rollercoaster. It was heartbreaking to go via 10 failed IVFs and then to lose the baby by a miscarriage. We have since then made significant progress in our journey of recovery and way forward. Due to medical reasons, Oana is not able to carry a pregnancy, so we rely on external support to pursue our dream of having our own child together. We’ve been very fortunate to find a fantastic egg donor, Nataliia, and we now have 21 frozen biopsied and PGS tested embryos ready for the next step in our journey.
We live in a stable, loving home environment where communication, respect, and learning are valued. We prioritize work-life balance and have established routines that allow us to be present for our family while maintaining our careers. Our home is filled with laughter, learning, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising children. We’re excited to add one more heartbeat to our family.
The house is located about 20 km from Brussels, the capital of Belgium. We live in a small village, which is extremely green. We have quite a big back yard with a pool and the area is very safe.
When we have a child, we will be excited to introduce the baby to our families and friends. We would also like to take the baby to the Austrian Alps for the yearly winter skying holiday. With the passage of time, we would open the horizon of our baby to the history and culture of the nearby cities like Paris, London or Amsterdam.
Oana loves water activities (spa) and water related sports (swimming, rowing). Oana loves languages as well and plans to raise our child multi-lingual. Since high school, she had a passion for mathematics, which guided her career and life paths. Her second passion was reading to get to understanding various ways of thinking and cultures. When she has time these days, she likes to keep up to date with cultural and literature novelties. Oana loves the mountains.
Jesse loves to bike and to spend holidays in the mountains in Austria in the winter for the winter sports and in Romania in the summer. He loves gardening and painting our house (as can be seen in his profile picture). Jesse’s work passion is chemistry.
Both of us are working professionals with secure employment. This provides financial stability and flexibility. We are financially prepared to cover the expenses related to the pre-surrogacy and surrogacy journey. We would be there for you at and after the birth to help out as much as we can.
We are looking for more than just someone to carry our child. We are hoping to build a meaningful relationship based on mutual respect and trust. We want to be involved and supportive without being overwhelming, following your lead on comfort levels and boundaries. We believe deeply in open communication, transparency about expectations, and ensuring you feel valued and cared for throughout this journey.
