Hello with Love & Gratitude
We’re Sean (“Moose”) and Alexandru (“Goose”), and the proud dads of our sweet baby girl Emilia—though we call her Emi for short. Together, we’ve become Moose, Goose, and Baby Chick – a playful way to capture the love and joy in our little family flock. Thanks to the incredible gift of surrogacy, our lifelong dream of becoming dads came true.
Now, our hearts are filled with hope once again: the dream of giving Emi a sibling to grow up with, laugh with, and share a lifelong bond with.
Both of us have been so fortunate to grow up with strong, loving relationships with our siblings – two sisters for Sean and one brother for Alexandru. These bonds have been some of the most meaningful in our lives. We want more than anything for our daughter to have the same chance—to share her childhood with a sibling, to create memories together, and to have that lifelong source of love and support that we’ve been so fortunate to have in our lives. It’s such an important dream for us, and we’re deeply grateful to anyone who might help us make it possible. As we begin this sibling journey, we are so thankful you’re taking a moment to read about us.

About Us
We met in Vancouver over seven years ago, and from our very first date we knew we shared something special. We connected over our love for family, our sense of adventure, our handsome border collie pup named Henry, and our shared dream of becoming dads one day. That dream came true when Emi was born, and parenthood has filled our lives with more joy, wonder, and gratitude than we ever imagined.
Family has always been at the heart of who we are. We are so close to both of our families and love spending time together over meals, celebrating milestones, birthdays and holidays together. We have a niece and nephew on Sean’s side that we’ve become the best “guncles” (gay uncles) to, taking them on all kinds of adventures together. Emi is the first grandchild on Alexandru’s side, and she has brought endless joy to her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of our family. Her name, Emilia, was chosen to honour Alexandru’s grandmother, making her place in our family story even more meaningful.

Life as Dads
Becoming dads has been the most extraordinary journey of our lives. Watching Emi discover the world—her first smile, her first laugh, her wobbly steps—has been pure magic. Even all her cries, middle of the night wake-ups, and stinky diapers have enriched our lives in so many wonderful ways. She has filled our home with giggles, snuggles, and love. Every day with her reaffirms how grateful we are to be parents and how much we want to give her the joy of growing up with a sibling.

A Letter From Our First Journey Surrogate
When I first met Sean and Alexandru, I could tell right away that they were going to be amazing intended parents to work with—and I wasn’t wrong. Throughout our entire surrogacy journey together, they were nothing but supportive, thoughtful, and caring. They always made sure I felt comfortable, respected, and heard at every stage.

One thing that stood out most to me was how flexible and proactive they were. They never hesitated to take care of things quickly and smoothly so I could focus on my pregnancy and my own family. I always felt reassured knowing they had everything covered and that I could just lean into the experience without stress.

Beyond the logistics, what really made our journey so meaningful was the genuine connection we built. It wasn’t just with Sean and Alexandru, but with their beautiful daughter, Emi, and with my own husband and kids too. We shared many milestones together and they even visited us a few months after Emi was born. We created a bond that I know will last a lifetime. My children still talk about being “womb buddies” with Emi—something we all celebrated when Sean and Alexandru gave all three kids matching “womb buddy” bunny stuffies when Emi was born. Now, whenever they cuddle their bunnies, it’s a sweet reminder of the special journey we all shared.

Sean and Alexandru are the kind of intended parents who make the experience joyful and deeply rewarding. They treated me not just as a surrogate, but as a partner and a friend. They showed so much gratitude and love every step of the way, and I always knew how much it meant to them to grow their family.

If you’re considering doing a sibling journey with them, I can honestly say you’ll feel valued, cared for, and truly appreciated. Helping them start the family they’ve always dreamt of and bring Emi into the world is one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done, and I feel so lucky to have been part of their story. I have no doubt they’ll be just as wonderful to walk alongside in their sibling journey as they were with me.
