A little about me, I’m currently 32 years old. I’m a transman and incredibly proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community. I’m equal parts goof, and jokster but i know how to be serious when i need to be. I’m an active adventure seeker, I love being outdoors and going on hikes with my dog, Ivory (she’s 10 now!). When i’m not out on a hike, I’m cuddling up with my cat (15 years old), reading a good fiction book, generally about magic or mythology. I also currently foster a cat, that is awaiting her fur-ever home! I love traveling and hope to take the kiddo all around the world!
My friends would say I’m passionate, caring, sympathetic and going to be an amazing dad! π
Family life is pretty good! My mom raised me and my 2 brothers. i have 3 nieces and 1 nephew. I have 11 cousins who are now starting to also have their own children, and so plus them i have 6 nephews and 6 nieces! We are all pretty close and like to celebrate birthdays and holidays; every month there’s some gathering to do! My grandparents are also very involved and like to have great grandkid sleepover nights where the older great grandkids go spend the night at their house. They watch movies and make dinner together; just like my cousins, siblings and I used to do when we were younger.
I’ve always wanted to be a dad, it’s my biggest dream in life. However, I’m incapable of carrying (due to Endometriosis and the removal of one ovary) and well as the overwhelming amount of gender dysphoria that being pregnant would cause me.
I own my own home. It has 3 bedrooms, plus one that I turned into a library. I have turned one into a nursery (adoption fail). I have a finished basement which I intend to turn into a play area and a good sized backyard where 2 small gardens grow. There is also plenty of running room for a child in the backyard!
My neighborhood is a warm, family-friendly community with great parks, excellent schools, and a welcoming atmosphere. Itβs a safe, vibrant area with plenty of green spaces, local shops, and a strong sense of communityβan ideal place to raise a child! The closest school is within walking distance and my work (the childcare) is only a 3 minute drive away. My nextdoor neighbours are also amazing and their daughter (13 years old) has already offered to babysit any children i have if needed!
I’m an ECE, working in a preschool, with 3-4year olds. I have been working with children for 10 years now and have experience also working with children with special needs in a school aged environment.
There’s the obvious answer of covering all their costs, of course. But I would also want to support the surrogate emotionally. Whether it’s their first time or they’ve done this a few times, I know pregnancy takes a toll on the body and each pregnancy is different, so i would be there for them in any way I can be. If it’s early in the morning and they can’t sleep because the baby is up and doing summersaults in their body, I want that surrogate to feel comfortable to text me and say, “hey your kid is competing for the most active prebirth gymnist award,” and know they will get a message back offering both a witty response and an offer to help in any way i can. During post partum, I’d want the surrogate to feel supported and know that if they still want to be connected to the child, I’m fine with that; or if they are uncomfortable having any connection because it’s too hard for them, I’m ok with that too. Support can be shown in many ways and i just want the surrogate to know that I’m open for discussions at any point, about anything π
I would love an open communication with the surrogate. I feel it’s important for my child to know where they came from and how they were brought into the world. However if that is not a possibility for the surrogate, I’d be open to discussion.
Thank you, honestly and deeply. Because without you, there is no possibility for me, so if you say yes to being my surrogate, get ready for an awesome ride and an amazing adventure! But if not, no hard feelings, I know your perfect person/couple to surrogate for is out there somewhere, thanks for stopping by!
