We’ve known each other since high school, but it wasn’t until ten years after losing touch that our love story truly began. A chance reunion brought us back together, and suddenly, a friendship from our teenage years turned into something much deeper. In 2014, we married, filled with dreams of a future together.
Ying is an only child, raised in a business family full of warmth and love. After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester in the UK, she spent years moving between Europe and China, exploring new paths and careers. Yuan’s journey has been different; after graduating from university, he built his career in finance and worked his way up to a management role at a bank until 2018.
For many years, we have longed to welcome a child into our lives. We’ve poured our hearts into both our careers and medical treatments, visiting hospitals and specialists in different countries, undergoing countless tests and treatments—all in hopes of holding our own little one. In 2018, we bought our home, carefully chosen to be the perfect space for a family. We even bought a seven-seater SUV, imagining road trips with our future child. But despite four IUIs and three rounds of IVF, each attempt ended in heartbreak, and we faced the pain of seeing our dreams slip away. After our final treatment, we were told that surrogacy might be our only path forward, and without hesitation, we embraced this possibility.
When we moved to Canada, life gradually settled into a beautiful rhythm. Today, we live in a welcoming community in Mississauga, Ontario, where Ying is dedicated to financial planning, and Yuan works in production management within the manufacturing industry. Yuan is also a director at a nonprofit organization, striving to promote well-being within our diverse community.
In our personal lives, we find joy in the little things. Ying is happiest in the garden, surrounded by flowers, where she can read and unwind. Yuan has a passion for astronomy and aquatics, and we both share a love for running. Together, we’ve been training diligently, hoping to complete a full marathon one day.
Through this journey, we’re deeply committed to providing every ounce of support to our surrogate mother. Her comfort, well-being, and happiness will always be our priority. We hope to build a lasting connection with her and to remain involved in our child’s life in a way that respects her and honors the incredible gift she is giving us. We would love to tell our child, one day, about the courageous, loving woman who helped bring them into the world.
