About

Intro

Harsh and I met in 2017 on Instagram, initially drawn together by our shared cultural roots, a love for spicy cuisines, and a desire for travel. From a long distance relationship to a newlywed life during the COVID pandemic, we have overcome many obstacles in our lives on our journey to be together. Now, we are eagerly hoping to welcome a lovely individual into our lives who will help us start a family.

Our Upbringing:

Manmeet: I was born in India but grew up in Canada. I share a strong bond with my family, especially my younger brother. As his only sibling, I embraced the role of an older sister from an early age, cherishing every opportunity that I had to bond with him. I am an avid reader – getting lost in a good book is one of my favourite pastimes. I also enjoy playing wheelchair basketball and sledge-hockey, two activities that help me to stay connected within my community.

Harsh: I grew up in India as an only child. I grew up having a very active childhood, playing a variety of sports. My love was badminton, and I played competitively at university level. I grew up in an intergenerational household, loving the time that I got to spend with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. My love is cooking! On any given day, you’ll find me lost in cooking books or bustling away in the kitchen, tweaking recipes to add my own flair.

Reason for Surrogacy

Manmeet: At just two months old, I contracted Polio. I walk with the support of walking forearm crutches for short distances and a wheelchair for long distances. For the last 3 years, I have been experiencing medical complications due to my disability. I’m currently on medications that help to maintain my health, but they are unsafe for pregnancy. Surrogacy is the only option for us to have a biological child of our own.

Our Lifestyle

We live in a suburban home on a quiet street that is predominantly occupied by families with young children. Our spacious backyard would provide ample space for our child to play, and we envision welcoming a dog into our family as a future companion. Located approximately an hour from Vancouver, our town offers an ideal setting for raising a family away from the hectic pace of city life. We have access to excellent hiking trails and well-equipped playgrounds, making it a welcoming community for young families. We lead a simple lifestyle – we love to spend time outdoors, hosting dinners for our friends and family, and discovering hidden gems in our city.

Our Commitment to You

To our surrogate, we want to convey our heartfelt appreciation for your willingness to give us a chance to start a family. We are open to supporting you in whatever form that you need us to show up. We will do our best to make your pregnancy as happy and comfortable as possible. We are prepared to cover all costs and expenses associated with the pregnancy, and we will do our absolute best to ensure that you feel our gratitude throughout the entire journey. We want our relationship with you to be built on trust and friendship, ensuring that you feel valued and we feel included in the pregnancy.

During the pregnancy, we would love to attend your clinic appointments (even if it’s just virtually), keep in regular contact (via calls, texting, or emails), and to be present at the birth, if that is within your comfort level. Following delivery, we are eager to nurture and expand our relationship with you, respecting your comfort level regarding the frequency of contact. If you are comfortable, we would love to share photos and milestones of our growing baby with you. We will also share with our child how they came into the world, emphasizing the incredible woman who helped to make it all possible.

Final Thoughts

We can’t even describe how much we long to meet you. Through your selfless gift, we will get to become parents, a dream that is incomplete without you. We are filled with anticipation at the thought of sharing our firsts with you – from hearing our baby’s first heartbeat, feeling their kicks, discussing our nursery plans, showing you the adorable baby clothes we’ve picked out, to finally, having you hand us our whole world after delivery. We are so excited to begin this journey with you!
