About

We are Mathilde (33F) and Max (33M), a couple from Montreal, Quebec, together for over six years and happily engaged since 2023. It is with hope, but heartfelt sadness, that we are searching for a surrogate for the second time. Unfortunately, our beloved daughter Violette passed away at birth due to undetected / untreated eclampsia. This brief experience only strengthened our desire to have a family of our own. We have four remaining frozen embryos at NewLife, in Mississauga.

Our Fertility Journey…

At age 15, Mathilde was diagnosed with MRKH, a disorder causing the uterus to be absent / underdeveloped; however, her egg quality is unaffected. As such, surrogacy is the only option for us to have a family of our own. We will be forever grateful to the person who will make this dream come true for us. Early in the relationship, Mathilde had to tell Max that she would never be able to carry their future children, meaning that their path to have a family would be difficult and uncertain. Although she was scared this could be the end of an amazing relationship, Max was very supportive and reassuring. He was ready to go through this as a couple. Six years later, here we are (again)! Mathilde feels truly grateful to have found someone like him to go through life, in good and hard times.

Violette’s Heartbreaking Story…

What started as an extraordinary surrogacy journey in 2024 ended tragically in October 2025. At 35 weeks, Violette unexpectedly passed away due to an eclampsia that went undetected / untreated – leaving all of us heartbroken. According to the doctors, we were extremely unlucky, as the baby was perfectly healthy and had no genetic disorders or malformations. Despite the unexpected outcome, we will be forever grateful to our amazing surrogate who allowed us to feel the joy of being parents.

Where it all Started…

We met at a charity fundraising event for Multiple Sclerosis, and it clicked instantly. Our relationship evolved quickly as we met just before the pandemic and decided to quarantine at Mathilde’s place, which resulted in moving in together! After buying a house, multiple renovations, numerous trips and getting engaged, we are more than ready to start a family.

A Little bit About us…

We live a happy life in Montreal with our beloved cat Penelope. She’s a “scotch tape” cat, following us everywhere in the house. We both work in finance and love our jobs. We were lucky to find our path in life.

As a couple, we are quite different, but we complete each other well and share very similar values. We are both positive, driven and family-oriented people. Max is very thoughtful; he notices the little things that bring pleasure and happiness to others. That’s what charmed Mathilde at first. He regularly organizes surprise date nights/activities or will bring back her favorite treats (marzipan or Timbits). He’s also very energetic (especially in the morning!) and easygoing. Mathilde is the planner in the relationship; she organizes all our trips and make sure we are always well prepared. She prepares Max’s breakfasts and lunches daily, always trying new recipes, showing how much he means to her.

Together, we like to spend time with our cat Penelope, cook new recipes and enjoy simple pleasures. We also like to stay active, we run as a couple multiple times a week and completed our first half-marathon this year. We also enjoy hosting dinners with family and friends, travelling and trying new restaurants.

Our Upbringings…

We are both very close to our parents and siblings. We visit Mathilde’s parents quite often given they live close by, and we travel to see Max’s family every few weeks given they live a couple of hours away. We come from tight-knit, loving and caring families. We look up to our parents who are still together after +30 years, in addition to having always supported and encouraged us through diverse stages of our lives (including this surrogacy journey, they are already excited to be grandparents!). We were lucky to have such happy childhoods and wish to offer the same to our future children.

Our Vision for this Journey…

We will be very supportive of your feelings, and personally support you pre, during and post pregnancy as best as we can. Most specifically, during pregnancy, we aim to have regular touch points with you to make sure you and the baby are doing well and see how we can help you and your family. We would also like to attend a few doctor visits, if possible. We will be emotionally and financially supportive. Post-pregnancy, we understand how hard giving birth is and will provide any support to help during this fourth trimester.

We would hate for this to feel like a transaction, that’s why we plan on having full transparency with our future child and keep a relationship with our surrogate post-birth (should you be willing to). More specifically, we aim to keep regular contacts and provide news and updates throughout the life of our child.

We would like to have a close relationship with our surrogate, so she feels supported and well treated, and that we feel included in the pregnancy. We aim to have respect, open communication and honesty at the forefront of our surrogacy journey. We already went through a surrogacy journey; therefore, we understand the importance of supporting our surrogate throughout all the stages of the process, in good and more challenging times.

Our Commitment to You…

If you decide to be our surrogate for this journey, we vow to be present and supportive throughout the whole process (including post-birth). We would encourage you to come to us with any issues or concerns you have; we value open communication.

We truly want this process to be seamless (as much as possible!) and would be more than happy to provide the following (we are also open to any requests you may have).

  • Services/support to make this pregnancy easier on you and your family and less stressful such as massages, grocery budget, childcare, prepared meals, vitamins, house cleaning, selfcare services, etc.
  • We want to make sure that this journey brings no financial burden to you and your family. As such, to make sure you have no out-of-pocket expenses, we would be happy to cover expenses upfront or provide a debit card. Also, rest assured that we have more than enough money set aside to cover this journey.
  • Continued support post-birth while you recover such as cleaning help, prepared meals, massages, childcare, fitness/yoga, physical therapy, selfcare services, etc.
  • We are prepared to fully cover a wide range of expenses (on the upper-end) while remaining within regulatory requirements.
  • We will be forever grateful to you, being a surrogate is truly selfless. We commit to make you feel accordingly pre, during and post journey.

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile, it means the world to us!
