About Us

We met at our first posting with the RCMP 6 years ago. What initially started out as a friendship grew into something much more a year later. In 2019 we welcomed our daughter Alexe, and started a family together. We are both still employed with the RCMP and both are working full time. Nick works a shift work position, while Amanda has recently transitioned into a Monday-Friday position allowing her to be home every night and weekends allowing more stability for our daughter. While we work demanding jobs we have ensured that it does not negatively impact our daughter and she has weekly swim, dance and gymnastics lessons that she loves. Alexe has been asking us for a little brother or sister...well more demanding it, and we would love nothing more than to be able to give her that. She loves to take care of her plushies and dolls. Changing their diapers, putting them down for nap time, etc. She would make an awesome big sister.

Nicholas was raised by his grandmother since he was 7 years old. He was taught how to be respectful, honest and polite. Nicholas' father passed away at a young age and his mother is an addict, that is the reason his grandmother took custody. Nicholas has a very strong bond with his grandmother and very family oriented.

Amanda was raised in a small town in Ontario where she lived with her younger sister and her parents who have been married for 33 years. She moved to Manitoba 6 years ago for work, but still has a very strong relationship with her family back in Ontario.

We tried for nearly a year to have a second child, and were unsuccessful in conceiving. We were in the process to start fertility testing when Amanda suffered a crohn's disease flare up. During pregnancy with our first child Amanda had a blood clot condition, and with the crohn's disease flare up it made her significantly more susceptible to having a blood clot should we get pregnant while her condition was active. We want to grow our family and give our daughter a little sibling, so we made the decision to undergo IVF treatment and freeze embryos hoping to make our dream of a second child possible through surrogacy.

We are both police officers employed full time by the RCMP. We both like to stay healthy by working out regularly, and playing sports. We live on 3 acres with our 3 dogs, all of which get along with our daughter. We love to spend time outdoors with our daughter and dogs.

Since both of us work full time, we are able to support our surrogate financially by covering all expenses and costs throughout all stages.

We would love for our surrogate to feel as though she is part of the family, and would do our best to be at appointments and ultrasounds. However, we are open to any type of relationship that is comfortable for our surrogate.
