About Us

Curtis and I met at GoodLife fitness. He was a personal trainer and he came up to me with a cheesy line about helping me improve my squats. It obviously worked because here we are 6 years later and happily married.

Curtis grew up on a farm with 3 brothers and 2 sisters 2 hours outside of London, ON. I spent the first couple years of my life in St.Vincent and the Grenadines and then my parents moved to London, ON. I am the youngest with only 2 brothers but a huge extended family. Christmas dinners can have up to 50 people. It’s loud and messy but so much fun. We’re both very family oriented and that was one of the things we loved about each other. My parents live 5 mins away from us and we see them almost everyday. Curtis’ parents still live in small towns but come visit us and we take Croix to visit. Most of our siblings live in London so we see them often as well. We are lucky to have a great support system.

2019 was an extremely busy year for us. We got married, had our son Croix and bought a house that we are so excited to fill with children. I have always known having kids might not be the easiest thing for me to do because I have struggled with hormone problems. It took us over a year to become pregnant naturally with our son, so after he was born we wanted to try again right away. We tried for over a year with no luck, so we decided to get some help from a fertility clinic. We did our tests, went to our appointments, were put on the IVF list and all set to start IUI when I received some devastating news.

Jan 2020 at 28 years old I found a lump in my right breast. I had an ultrasound in March and that’s when everything just spiralled downhill. It was one hospital visit after another. I had a bilateral mastectomy in April, started chemotherapy in June and radiation in October. I am so happy to have caught it early but now because of my diagnosis I am unable to have children. Though we are beyond grateful to have had our son, having a big family has been a dream of ours and we hope to still fulfill that dream with your help.

Curtis has a passion for sports and fitness. He plays soccer, volleyball and pretty much anything that is called a sport. He is a natural father, has amazing dad jokes and always keeps us laughing. My passion is food and nutrition. I love to cook for my family and I’m a self taught baker. Our favourite thing to do together is travel. We got engaged and married in the Dominican Republic and had a prehoneymoon (if that’s a thing) in Italy and Greece. We honeymooned at Disney World since I was pregnant and I’m a huge Beauty and The Beast fan. My husband and I are truly best friends. We make each other laugh every day and have such a loving supportive marriage. In addition to our son we have 2 fur babies. A wheaten terrier poodle mix named Cooper and a yorkie named Zeke. I love the life we have created so far and can’t wait to add more children to go on adventures with.

We will be there for you every step of the way offering you as much support as you need while respecting your boundaries. Besides covering your expenses, you will gain a friend and I hope we will gain one too. Our goal is to make this journey as comfortable and stress free as possible. We will not take this gift for granted and we will never forget you.

We felt like we were right there about to expand our family and then it was ripped away from us, until now. We are so thankful that there are beautiful souls in this world that are willing to give us the gift of life. We are already grateful to our future surrogate mom and we will have a bond that will last a lifetime.
